A smorgasbord of all-star Aussie talent will be descending on Warrnambool (Victoria) on Peek Whurrong Land for the event of the year – triple j’s One Night Stand.

Warrnambool was one of 2087 nominations received from across the country. The pitch – for why the town should host this year’s One Night Stand – included dormant volcanoes, eels, beaches and the beloved V/Line train.
RDA Barwon South West Chair Liz Price highlights that the opportunity to host the One Night Stand will significantly enhance the region's profile among music enthusiasts and cultural tourists.
“The One Night Stand will not only provide a substantial boost to visitor numbers and local businesses across Barwon South West, but it also demonstrates our community’s ability to win and successfully host a national music event. This event will put Warrnambool, in particular, on the map as a vibrant destination for cultural experiences.”
The first ever triple j One Night Stand kicked-off 20 years ago in the small town of Natimuk on Jardwadjali Country in Victoria, with acts like Grinspoon, The Disassociates and Eskimo Joe on the bill.
Since then, triple j have taken the one-day, all-ages parties from the country to the coast, stopping in at spots like Alice Springs in 2010, Dubbo in 2013, Port Pirie in 2006, Mount Isa in 2017 and more.
Warrnambool is now getting ready for its One Night Stand on Saturday 14 September 2024. It’s looking like a night this Victorian coastal town won't forget anytime soon. For the full line-up head to: Your One Night Stand 2024 line-up is here! - triple j (abc.net.au)
