RDA Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island are again finalists in the Economic Development Australia Awards for Excellence.

The RDA’s initiative to structure and fund small grants for manufacturing businesses to improve productivity, is a finalist in the category “Economic Development Initiatives – Regions Over 15,000 Residents”.

The project submitted by RDA Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu & Kangaroo Island’s, Hills & Coast Business Grant focused on supporting manufacturers. This is is a growing sector of the regions’ economy yet small businesses often miss out on grant funding. The grant is designed to support manufacturers willing to co-invest in productivity initiatives that will grow output and drive efficiency.

The Economic Development Australia Awards recognise leadership and excellence in economic development highlighting best practice innovation and creativity to improve communities across the country. 

Award winners will be announced at an Awards Gala during the National Economic Development Conference 2023 (NEDC23) on 23 August 2023 in Karratha, WA.
