Mr George Plant has been sworn in as Administrator of Norfolk Island by the Governor-General, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) at a ceremony at Government House, Canberra (pictured).

Mr Plant has extensive experience in senior public administration roles across the Pacific. For the past 3 years Mr Plant served as Norfolk Island’s Emergency Controller.

As a member of the local community, Mr Plant also brings experience and passion for working with the local community, and an understanding of the distinct cultural, economic and physical landscape of Norfolk Island.
