Employee Assistance Program
RDA committee members, staff and their immediate families have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. These services are delivered by TELUS Health.
What is the EAP?
The EAP offers free, professional and confidential counselling sessions and can assist with work and personal issues including:
- Personal and career direction
- Stress and pressures
- Conflict at work
- Work performance issues
- Anxiety and depression
- Personal trauma and grief
- Alcohol, drug or gambling problems
- Child and family concerns
- Marital and relationship problems
- Financial and legal problems
The EAP services are designed to provide short-term assistance. You, or your immediate family member, can access up to 15 sessions for this financial year.
How do I access EAP services?
Phone
Call TELUS Health 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 360 364 or +61 2 8295 2292 (international) to schedule an appointment.
Book online
You can book an appointment via the online portal.
The online portal also has a range of resources including self-care programs and wellbeing assessments.
SMS
With the SMS option you don't require an appointment. You simply start a conversation with a clinician by sending a text message to 0480 032 310. Clinicians will answer your message during extended business hours - Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm (AEST).
The EAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. No one, including your employer or the department, will know that you have used the program unless you choose to tell them.
