SA summit seeks regional housing solutions
Background
This was our second RDSA summit and focused on housing as a key issue affecting all South Australia’s regions. RDA Adelaide was responsible for the delivery, quality and convening of the Summit.
Issue
The RDSA 2022 Annual Summit focussed on the rapidly declining availability of housing in regional SA, highlighting the issue in such a comprehensive and collegiate atmosphere.
Response
More than 140 attendees attended the RDSA 2022 Annual Summit, held 13 September 2022 at the Bridgeport Hotel, Murray Bridge, with others joining via live stream.
Outcome
The summit brought together 20 speakers, including Minister Scriven, leadership program participants and departmental staff. One of the features was the drawing together of one of the panel discussions drawn together to examine solutions for housing in regions. The panel consisted of:
- Will Frogley (Master Builders Association)
- Stephen Knight (Housing Industry
Association) - Daniel Gannon (Property Council)
- Craig Holden (SA Planning Commission)
- Lea Bacon (Local Government Association
of SA) - Anne Moroney (Renewal SA).
