Priority 1: Strengthening local partnerships and provide regional leadership

What skills/experience will be needed from future committee members to achieve this priority?

  • Mix of members from industry, Local Government, Indigenous, youth, and higher education.
  • It is important members are leaders in the region with good networks and knowledge of the region and can bring that level of knowledge to the meetings.

Priority 2: Business and Governance

What skills/experience will be needed from future committee members to achieve this priority?

  • A good understanding of RDAFN, experience and skills in government, resources, business, and economic development.
  • A thorough understanding of Corporate Board governance and experience on similar not-for-profit Boards is highly important.

Priority 3: Emerging and New Industry Development

What skills/experience will be needed from future committee members to achieve this priority?

  • RDAFN is seeking members with new business development and investment prioritisation along with start-up experience.
  • An understanding of communications and technology development and implementation, in the context of supporting new industry development.
  • A broad knowledge and experience of destination tourism.

Is geographic representation important to achieve the RDA committee's priorities?

  • Yes.

Which geographic areas require greater representation from future members?

  • The Outback, The Flinders Ranges, Port Augusta, Roxby Downs and Coober Pedy.
