Priority 1: Transport Infrastructure

Ensure alignment to enable export to national and international markets and lower cost of imports to create economic prosperity and improve social wellbeing and connectivity between communities.

What skills/experience will be needed from future committee members to achieve this priority?

  • Experience dealing with business, government, community and peak bodies, a network of contacts and strategic vision for the region.
  • Intimate knowledge of opportunities and challenges facing the regions will be highly regarded, with a drive and determination to make a contribution to influence the long term prosperity of the region.
  • Good understanding of logistics and the economic and social impact of a well-balanced and efficient supply chain.

Priority 2: Social infrastructure to attract and retain families in the region, greater community wellbeing and health outcomes

What skills/experience will be needed from future committee members to achieve this priority?

  • Experience dealing with environmental and social challenges, dealing with government, community sectors and peak bodies.
  • Commitment to achieving balanced social and environmental outcomes in pursuit of long term economic growth, combined with the ability to do high-level analyses and planning, understand and interpret industry and market trends.
