What skills/experience will be needed from future committee members to achieve this priority?

  • Understand economic ‘productivity’ ( not economic consumption).
  • Awareness of new economic opportunities and innovation.
  • Ability to drive growth.
  • Understand regional workforce and skills needs to attract and retain talent and increase productivity.

Priority 2: Business Investment and Whole of Government

What skills/experience will be needed from future committee members to achieve this priority?

  • Understand regional economic drivers.
  • Ability to shape international and investor relations.
  • Understanding of Australian and NSW Government regional development policies.
  • Skills to align regional policies.
  • Support effective place based decision making.

Priority 3: Infrastructure

What skills/experience will be needed from future committee members to achieve this priority?

  • Ability to identify critical macro economic and social infrastructure to support and generate increased regional productivity.

Is geographic representation important to achieve the RDA committee's priorities?

  • Yes.

Which geographic areas require greater representation from future members?

  • West, Northwest, East and South East of the Orana.
