Urban agriculture events in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney

19 January 2018

A number of talks, workshops and forums on urban agriculture will take place in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne in February promoting the benefits of urban agriculture and providing knowledge and expertise in establishing urban agricultural projects in urban and peri-urban environments.

The Sydney and Adelaide events will feature the expertise of Michael Ableman, a farmer, writer and change maker who has created urban community farms in the USA and Canada. These events include separate discussion sessions with Michael on his urban agriculture experiences and local urban farming initiatives, as well as masterclass sessions on practices and strategies to make urban farms work.

Melbourne will host the 2018 Urban Agriculture Forum on the 23–24 February. Building on the success of the inaugural 2016 Forum, the 2018 Forum will feature expert speakers and presenters from around the world showcasing how urban agriculture creates more liveable cities, communities and homes.
