National firearms amnesty 2017

The Australian Government's national firearms amnesty commenced on 1 July. This amnesty is aimed at reducing the number of unregistered firearms in Australia. Anyone in possession of unregistered firearms or firearms-related articles is now able to legally dispose of them without penalty.
The amnesty will conclude on 30 September 2017.
