RDA Logan & Redlands—a finalist in the 2016 Economic Development Australia Awards for Excellence
08 November 2016
Regional Development Australia (RDA) Logan & Redlands was named finalists in the Community Economic Development category at the Economic Development Australia 2016 National Awards for its work delivering the Business Idea Bootcamp series.
Each year Economic Development Australia (EDA) invites submissions from across the community and across the country that tell stories of projects and initiatives which have been keeping the economy kicking over.
The Bootcamps were an initiative of RDA Logan & Redlands to help entrepreneurs, small business owners and not-for-profits develop and test their business ideas. The interactive events included industry experts sharing their skills and tools to help participants formulate a compelling business case to attract partners and investors.
RDA Logan and Redlands said this was great recognition for the Business Idea Bootcamp but they could not have hosted the event without their event partners who included: Advance Queensland, Department of State Development Queensland Government, Griffith University, Logan Office of Economic Development (LOED), Redland City Council, Redland Chamber of Commerce, Bendigo Bank, McCullough Robertson, E-source Legal, Impact Academy, Australian Institute of Commercialisation (AIC), City of Choice, Greater Brisbane Small Business Advisory Services (GBSBAS), Innovate Queensland, Independent Social Enterprise Network Logan.
