Progress in Australian Regions—Yearbook 2016
16 December 2016
Each year, the Department produces the Progress in Australian Regions—Yearbook to chart the development of Australia's regions over time. The 2016 publication was released this week. This resource provides governments, community leaders, academics, and other stakeholders with information that answers how our regions are progressing against economic, social, environmental, and governance measures.
The Department also launched an accompanying web application to display Yearbook data. The web application will allow users to easily search for their own region and generate charts and tables that illustrate how the region is progressing on key indicators. The web application also provides a greater level of regional detail than the hardcopy Regional Yearbook is able to—including data by Local Government Areas (LGA) and Regional Development Australia Committee (RDA) boundaries.
