Mapping Tasmainia's Regional Economic Workforce Planning Capability

14 February 2017

Regional Development Australia – Tasmania (RDA Tasmania) is collaborating with The Tasmanian Department of State Growth to understand the capability of Tasmania’s regional workforce development planning.

RDA Tasmania Chairman, Mr Tom Black, joined Sarah Courtney MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier of Tasmania and the Hon Karen Andrews MP, Federal Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills to announce the funding of $35,000 from Skills Tasmania.

RDA Tasmania with support from the Regional Australia Institute will engage a workforce development consultant who will analyse current economic development plans.  The project will provide recommendations on where investment into regional workforce planning should occur, and on the types of investment needed to improve workforce-planning capability.

The project will be completed by 30 June 2017.
