Regional Development Australia (RDA) is an Australian Government initiative that brings together all levels of government to enhance the development of Australia's regions. A national network of RDA committees has been established to achieve this objective.

    RDA Hunter (NSW) has welcomed the announcement of $4 million in NSW and Federal Government funding for infrastructure upgrades on Kooragang Island, identified by RDA Hunter as a key infrastructure priority in its 2014 Hunter Economic Infrastructure Plan (HEIP).
