RDA Yorke & Mid North offer licence concessions

RDA Yorke & Mid North (South Australia) is offering residents in the Goyder, and Clare and Gilbert Valleys council areas a concession to assist with the cost of obtaining a heavy vehicle licence or specific ticket to get work.

RDA Yorke and Mid North has partnered with the South Australia Works program in a bid to link people, skills and jobs. The demand for heavy vehicle drivers in the mining regions of South Australia means that a licence is a valuable tool for ongoing employment. Six people have been assisted in the past six months with truck licences, and three with Front-end Loader tickets.

Through the Mid North South Australia Works Action Plan, RDA Yorke and Mid North has received State Government funds to assist disadvantaged people into available jobs in the region.
