RDA Northern Inland (New South Wales) together with other event partners invites all RDAs to participate in Australia’s FIRST Digital Rural Futures conference. The conference will be hosted at the University of New England from 26-28 June 2013, in the rural city of Armidale NSW – the first National Broadband Network (NBN) enabled city in Australia.

Digital Rural Futures is a national forum to exchange ideas and provide updates on the opportunities and challenges faced by agriculture in Australia’s digital economic future.

The NBN offers enormous opportunities for Australia’s agricultural sector. In turn, NBN connected farms, and their supporting industries will play a significant role in Australia’s digital economic future.

Innovators and entrepreneurs are now invited to submit abstracts addressing aspects of the conference themes:

  • Smart technology
  • Data and information management, and
  • Smart services and decision support systems.

The Digital Rural Futures conference is about building networks and raising awareness of challenges and opportunities across a broad range of fronts.

Abstracts may be submitted until Thursday 28 March 2013.

For more information on the conference themes, or to submit an abstract, visit the Digital Rural Futures conference website.
